Our photo contest is sponsored by Friends of Crooked River State Park to promote awareness of the intrinsic values of our coastal treasures. All photos must be taken inside Crooked River State Park. Entries must be submitted as an attached digital file to FriendsofCrookedRiver@gmail.com by November 30. Top prize is $100.
Eligibility: Open to all amateur photographers from all over the world except for employees of Crooked River State Park and Board members of Friends of Crooked River State Park.
Entering: Entries must be submitted as an attached digital file by e-mail to FriendsofCrookedRiver@gmail.com no later than Nov. 30, 2021. One photo per e-mail. E-mail must include your 1) name, 2) address, 3) phone number, and 4) category of photo. All photos must be taken in Crooked River State Park (CRSP). Only one photo per person per category.
Categories: Photographers must enter their selected photograph(s) from CRSP in one of the following categories: Examples shown are not restrictive.
Enter each photo in only one category.
1) Native plant: native wildflowers, shrubs, or trees
2) Pollinator: butterfly, native bee, moth, hummingbird
3) Bird: songbird, wading bird, or any other native bird
4) Animal: fish, reptile, amphibian, mammal, insect
5) Landscape: scenic view of Crooked River State Park (CRSP)
6) People: people enjoying CRSP: Include the name(s) and contact information of any recognizable individuals in the photo to indicate permission for the use of their image. Include this information in your entry e-mail.
Judging: Photographs will be judged on creativity, quality (dpi), content, effort required for photo, and overall impact on viewer.

b. Prizes: Best of Show (one winner): $100
First Place in each of six categories: $25
Ethics: Photos should be obtained in the wild under natural conditions and in a manner that places the welfare of wildlife above the desire to obtain a photo. Photos must not involve the harassment of wildlife or damage to the environment.
Intellectual Property: Entrants retain ownership and rights to their photograph and agree that their photo(s) may be reproduced and distributed in brochures and other media about Georgia State Parks.
