Take your child or student outside to observe nature.  

Possible topics to discuss include:

Photosynthesis

Parts of a Plant

Life Cycle of a Butterfly 

Life Cycle of a Frog

Position of the Sun at Various Times

Weather

If your phone has a camera, let your child take a photo of a flower or plant that they have observed.  When you go back inside, have them draw a picture and write a couple of sentences.
