Digital technology is breaking the constraints of manufacturing with the recent expansions in areas such as artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing, automation, human-machine interaction, robotics, advanced metrology, etc., along with an explosion in data and new computing capabilities. The capability to define every characteristic of the design-to-manufacture process digitally using several tools makes them important in this era of the fourth industrial revolution. The transformation from industry to a smart industry is possible only with the digitalization of our industry. The demand for system architects and engineers with digital skills will accelerate in the coming years as smart manufacturing will take over the present manufacturing very soon. Digital manufacturing is a multi-disciplinary area comprising of information from different areas crossing all engineering backgrounds. This club brings together the students of MTech Digital Manufacturing, BITS Pilani to discuss and share information. Newsletters, articles will be shared through this platform to bring you more information’s and developments happening in the area of Digital Manufacturing.
