Hi👋� Nice to meet yall , I’m Vickee. I’m just finishing up Perfect Peace by Daniel Black . It follows Emma Jean a mother of 6 boys pregnant with a 7th child whose only dream is to have a daughter to raise and love the way she was never loved (Emma Jean experienced a traumatic childhood). When Emma Jean gives birth, she is disappointed to learn that she has had yet another son and decides to raise her son as a little girl unbeknownst to her own husband, family, friends, neighbors, and locals. After this I want to read Fast by Millie Belizaire which follows Caprice a girl who is forced to move in with her grandmother after her mother dies and is only faced with more trauma this time SA…until she meets and builds a bond with her neighbor across the street, Sean.
