I am writing a story here is it so far, let me know what you think: ✨Welcome To Wonderland ✨ *Drip* Today was the lunar new year, and we were here waiting for my Appa is to get home. It was also pouring outside, and when my best friend Yushu was outside celebrating with her family, I was stuck inside. You could see the lanterns and the dragon light up my town, and the lights reflected on the water, and I wanted to see it badly. But here I was stuck playing “Sorry� with my little sister. I was a bit disappointed. Usually, we would go outside and play, or throw rocks in the pond next to our house, and see whose rock would go further, but we don’t do it anymore since our brother has died. I don’t like to talk about it. I chuckle, it was a bit of deja vu for me. “Ma,� omma says, “you have to eat Ma.� She ge. ts her chopsticks and feeds her xiao long bao. We were all there. It was rainy. It was after the celebration, after the town one for Lunar New Year. Yushu and her family were there, most of my family was there. Rainy- I snap out of it Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Chen, 9 years old, and my little sister, Ming, is 9 years old too. I am a bit older, but only by a few minutes. You can call us Autumn and Summer. We are triplets. I have long, silky black hair and grey eyes, while my sister has short black hair and grey eyes as well. We are a mix between Korean and Chinese because our dad is from South Korea and our mom is from China, so we speak both Chinese and Korean. You might hear my mom speaking Chinese, but I promise she knows how to speak English. “陈明, 我��觉了.� Mom said, “ok,� Summer and I said ( Translated to Chen, Ming, I am going to go to sleep). When we were playing, after everyone was sleeping and our father went to work, I decided, why don’t we just watch movies? “Why did I not think of that?� said Summer. We opened the TV, and I asked Summer what to watch. “Horror movie!� “Are you sure, Summer? That might be a bit too scary for you.� “No, Mom is asleep, so we can watch anything we want.� I grinned, we were the naughty ones around here. “Okay,� I said, trying not to look like I was smiling. “But what horror movie should we watch?� “I know,� said Summer, jumping up and down. We should watch a spooky witch cartoon!� I rolled my eyes. Summer loves cartoons. “Fine.� Just then, we heard a loud BOOM�it was thunder. “That was loud,� I said, turning my head to look at Summer, but she was gone. I started to panic, but then I heard a voice say, "Is the thunder gone? It was coming from the couch I looked under and saw Summer. “What is wrong with you?" I said angrily as she crawled out. “Sorry, I don’t like thunder,� she said softly. “It’s fine, just don’t do that again. Anyway, I don’t think you are ready for a horror movie, you heard thunder and got under the couch.� She rolled her eyes. “Okay. Then what should we watch?� She asked, still looking scared. “Um, how about Kung Fu Panda.� “Okay, that sounds good to me," said Summer. So we opened up the TV and watched Kung Fu Panda. While we were watching Kung Fu Panda it was hilarious, but we laughed too loud because our mom walked into the living room. And she was PISSED, “你们在�什么!�Mom said. (What are you guys doing!?) We were grounded for a week. but I was not taking it, I was going to sneak out until we were not grounded anymore. But when I was trying to get out of my window, Summer came to me and begged me to take her along with me. It took some hard begging but I finally agreed. When we climbed out the window, I was excited. It was our first time sneaking out of the house. But Summer was nervous, she was worrying about a lot of things. But most of all was mom, she was worried that mom would be mad. I told her if she were going to worry I wouldn't take her with me. She paused, “Well? What's it going to be?� “Um… I will stay here, but I can watch for Mom so she doesn’t find you.� “Ok,� I said, still trying to get out. “Can you give me a little nudge?� “ Ok," said Summer happily. But unfortunately for me, Summer pushed too hard, and I fell with a thud! When I woke up Summer was looking at me, and behind her was, “MOM,� I said, but before I could do anything, Mom grabbed my hands, “陈你敢打你妹妹!� (Chen, don’t you dare attack your sister) Why did Mom grab my hands, you may ask, because she knew exactly what I was going to do. I screamed as Mom dragged me to the living room to tell me what my punishment was. “You will pay for this summer,� I screamed. She gave me a frightened look on her face and then turned around. “What's wrong, Summer? Are you too scared?� Okay, stop right there. I am not a crazy person. I mean, she just had to bring Mom instead of someone else, and you know why I was so mad because I was grounded for a week, right, but now I am probably grounded for eternity. Well, Mom said I was going to be grounded for weeks. “好�，�是因为你��击你的妹妹这对你�说是两周的�� ok, just because you were going to attack your sister, that’s two weeks for you.) 你一定是在跟我开玩笑�,� I moaned. “You have gotta be kidding me.� I was relieved, but as you know, I am not taking it, so when I was trying to sneak out again, summer came. “What are you doing here?� “Look, I’m sorry, the only reason I called Mom was because Dad was at work.� I don’t care, I said, why did you not try to help me instead of Mom?� And I knew exactly what she was going to ask, “Can I co––� “No, absolutely not.� I mean, if someone already got you in trouble once, you wouldn’t trust them again, would you? “And besides, you didn't even wanna go last time.� I know, but now I want to go! “I told you no.� “Fine, I guess I will tell Mom then,� she said, smirking and slowly walking away. “Are you seriously threatening me right now?� “Maybe,� she said, still smirking. “Fine.� Look, what was I supposed to do if she told Mom I would be grounded for a month? “Yay, I am so happy-� “But you have to listen to everything I say,� she hesitantly agreed, and we went on our way. I was super excited, and this time, the summer was too. But as soon as we were far away from home we had a problem, we didn’t know where we were going and worse, we were lost then, I realised I had been stupid, I was grounded for weeks and Mom would have to go into my room to give me food, and then she would find out I snuck out. But Summer told me not to worry because she had already thought of that. She had made a voice recording of me saying I don’t want food to my Mom once, and she forgot to delete it, so now she put pillows under a blanket and then put the voice recorder on top of it, to make it sound and look like I was there. When I asked her how we would survive weeks without food, she told me that she had brought lots of food, and that’s why she brought 5 bags, one of which was sleeping gear. Maybe it was not a bad idea to bring summer after all. Once we were taking a break from all that walking, she said to check my pocket, and there was something in it, “my phone!� Ok, it’s not my phone, Mom got it for me and Summer, we are only supposed to use it for calling Mama and Appa. We use our iPads for anything else.“I slipped it in your pocket when we were climbing out,� said Summer, grinning happily. “Wow, you're the best summer.� “I know,� she said, smiling cheerfully. We walked a little more until we reached a forest. We looked for a soft place to put the sleeping bag, and then we set it up. When we woke up this morning we saw a portal! Before we could do anything we got sucked into it. I was feeling dizzy. I was on the ground with Summer beside me, “What is this place?� I asked as I got up. I reached my hand out to Summer, but then, “Sike!� “Ugh, you're so annoying.� She got up and we started walking. There were huge trees and plants, and it was almost like we were way smaller! Then I saw ants walking and we were the same size as the ants, then it hit me, we were shrunk! I stopped in place, and Summer, who was behind me, bumped into me, “Can’t you watch where you're going-oh�, she knew we were shrunk. “Oh my gosh,� she screamed, “shush,� I screamed back, “ why are you telling me to shush if you're loud yourself?!� She screamed again, “Ugh, forget it,� I said, rolling my eyes.� While we were arguing I turned around and saw these fairy bunny-looking creatures and they were coming our way. Summer looked at them, mesmerised, and I grabbed her hand and hid behind a tree. I was trying so hard to keep Summer from touching the fairy bunny things.One of them looked angry with white, grey fur. The other had long and beautiful white fur, and something that looked like eyeliner on her eyes, she looked very pleasant. I had to hold both summers with both my hands. With one hand I was holding her arm and the other was over her mouth to stop her from talking to the weird creatures. “What do you think you're doing?� I said “Huh,� she shouted out. “We don’t even know them, what if they are dangerous?’’ “Dangerous?� She said, “They are just cute little bunnies-� two seconds later, we were in cages. “Not too dangerous for cute bunnies.� “Shut up," Summer whispered. The bunnies came closer, and the one that looked angry shouted, “SILENCE!� not in a cute way, but in some kind of thunderous and deep way. The other bunny had a very small and soothing voice. “Calm down, I am sure they can explain why they are in our magical forest.� I tried to be as polite as possible because they had a pot full of lava next to them, and I knew they were going to throw us in. “We got sucked in here by a magical portal we didn’t wanna be here, well I mean of course we would wanna be here, but not by purpose no offense I mean it’s nice- “Stop your yapping girl,� said the one with a deep voice. He turned to summer, “ what’s your name.� “ Summer.� “No, your real name.� “Ming, “and what's your name? “Chen,� I said. He looked shocked, and he took a step backward until he was lined up with the other bunny, and she whispered, “Chen, Ming? Chen Ming! “Let them go, bring them back tomorrow. Also, change them back into their original heights.� Suddenly I felt a weird tingle in my hands. I looked at summer and she was back to her original height, I was too. Summer and I were super confused as we walked out of there. We walked some more, or should I say, I walked some more. Summer was on my back the whole time, don't even ask me why I agreed. So when we got there I decided to teach her a lesson. I dropped her and she fell hard. “That’s what you get for telling mom.� “Oh, please, don’t you ever forget anything?� We found a place to sleep for the night, and the next morning, two familiar faces were staring at us. “Hello, Ming and Chen.� “Um, hi.� “Follow us.� After a few minutes of walking, they took us to a very pleasant waterfall and they sat us down on two beautiful, magical-looking chairs. After a few minutes of sitting, (and silence) they said to get inside the waterfall. “ How are we able to breathe?�I asked, “You can breathe in it, just get in,� said the deep voice bunny. We got in at the same time and I could breathe. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked behind me. “Summer?�my voice echoed in the empty blue space. Then I heard someone calling my name, “Chen.� “Who’s there?� “Chen, we need you.� “Summer, this is not funny.� I felt cold breathing on my neck. Suddenly, I felt myself getting pulled into the light, I gasped when I got pulled out, like I had been holding my breath. The calm bunny stepped closer to me and said, “What did you see?� I didn't know what to tell them, I froze, should I tell them about the whispers? What will they do to me? I looked back at them. I took a deep breath, “there was some whispering� I sighed. “What did you hear?� “Well, there– wait, where's Summer? She took a step back and nodded at the other bunny. Then she looked back at me. “Your sister probably is still in the waterfall…� “ PROBABLY?!� “Look, I'm sure we can get your sister back.� Said the bunny with a calm voice, and no I don't know their real names. That's why I keep calling them by how they sound. “Before we look for her, have I ever asked your names?� They raised their eyebrows at me, and then the calm one said, “Jing. It means calm and quiet.� I know it fits her so much. The second one’s name was Chang. It means, well it means many things but it mostly means, lasting forever, and it also means Flourish, prosper, sunlight, smooth, free, and unrestrained. I don’t know, but sunlight does not describe him so much. “Chen, go inside of the waterfall.� “Why?� I assumed Jing caught my eye and said, "You should have turned back when you were inside,� “I did,� I replied. she smiled. I went inside and it was the same as before, then I remembered what Jing said. I looked back and I saw something that was not there before it was a portal but not like the one me and summer got sucked into, insted it was more blue and it had more depth. How come I didn't notice it before? I went inside it felt like I was being twisted and turned and I saw colours I never thought existed. Jing and Chang were waiting for me there. I fell to the ground dizzy “Finally� Cheng said. I was sure it lasted about 2 seconds to get from the portal to here. “It took you an hour to come, time works differently here. But we have the power to speed it up. Oh, we probably should have taught you that.� Mentioned Jing. “Wow, no wonder I felt so dizzy.� Jing started to speak again, “陈�师，请跟�我们，��分心。�论如何，当我们打�带你�这里�，但你��抢先了.�(Chen, please follow us and don’t get distracted. We were going to bring you here anyway but your sister got a head start.) I nodded, but my stomach started growling, “Shouldn't we eat first, though I am starving!� Jing and Chang nodded their tiny heads. We sat down on the soft grass and I pulled out the dumplings and chopsticks summer had brought. There was also sweet chili sauce! I sat down in criss-cross applesauce and grabbed one of the dumplings with my chopsticks. 'This is so good,' I said, my mouth full. Jing gave me a look, and I gulped it down. “Sorry.� After we were done eating, we started to go deeper into the woods. After walking for what felt like hours, we finally saw my sister talking to another fairy bunny who was friends with Chang and Jing and whose name was Meng. “Autumn,� Her face looked so happy but then, “what took you so long?� Her face turned into a board face with siren eyes. After we found her, she ate some dumplings we had left, and we continued on our journey. It was a really long walk and Chang and Jing didn’t even tell us where we were going. “Are we almost there yet?� I groaned. “Be patient,� Chang replied. Finally we got there, or at least I think we did since we had no idea where our destination was. Then Reality struck me. We had no idea who these bunnies were and what they even wanted to do with us! Heck we just appeared in a portal! This didn't seem right. I took Summer's hand, and i whispered “Listen I'm going to distract the bunnies I'll explain later but make a run for it as fast as you can.� Summer looked startled, but she went along with my plan. I raced ahead in front of the bunnies and stopped them while i talked about the dumplings we just had, “You know those dumplings we just had they were kind of bad right like they went and they stayed like a day like we've been here for a day right speaking of that what should we do Some really fun things you know I kind of feel like it's kind of hard you know because like we should go to the water park oh you know that waterfall we just had that was so much fun but you know those voices I heard they were not like respectable I guess but they were kind of creepy and stuff you know what I mean?� I said all in a rush. “Jing raised her eyebrows, “Che-Autuum, what is this about?� I quickly looked over her shoulder and saw summer was gone. “Im sorry, I hope you can understand.� I ran as fast as i could, i turned around, out of breath, and i saw jing looking shocked. This is for the best I thought. 2 Days Later
